“Chess demands total concentration”- such comment is quite appropriate for PIS. We have a good reputation to the CJKS chess committee because of our students’ involvement in CJKS inter-school chess tournament. Many a time, our students brought glory to us by becoming champion or runner-up in the tournament. Our students have played in the national tournaments too. International Women master Rani Hamid ,Grand master Niaz Murshed, International master Abu Sufiyan Shakil,Fide master Tanima Parvin paid their visits to our school, exchanged views with the chess lovers and tried to groom them up. We have recently formed a chess club in school.
